Georgia Tech course loads are heavy, and most of your deadlines live in Canvas at canvas.gatech.edu. Here's a simple setup that keeps every class in one place.
1. Get your Canvas Calendar Feed
- Go to canvas.gatech.edu on a computer and log in.
- Click Calendar, then Calendar Feed at the bottom right.
- Copy the link.
Full walkthrough: how to find your Canvas calendar feed link.
2. Put it in one list
Paste the link into lum9a. Assignments from every course appear as tasks with short course tags like CS 1332 or MATH 1554, sorted by Overdue, Today, This Evening and the days ahead. Sign in with any email (we send a link, no password) and it syncs across your laptop and phone. Your Canvas link also puts you on the Georgia Tech board.
3. Add what Canvas misses
Some classes use outside homework sites or post readings without due dates. Add those yourself in plain words: "webwork 7.2 tue 11:59pm".
4. Plan around tests
Big courses often have several midterms. Keep your next test at the top of your list and start studying a week out. In lum9a, the next test shows with a countdown.
5. Set reminders
Turn on phone alerts so you hear about anything due in the next 3 hours. On iPhone, add lum9a to your Home Screen first. More in our reminders guide.
6. Keep a routine
Plan on Sunday, check each night, and do one school task every day to keep your streak. That's the whole system.
